Congratulations to Prathamesh on presenting his WIP to faculty and students in the Bioengineering department! He displayed his results and his proposed aims for designing translatable Universal Hemostatic Absorbable Patches (UHA-P). Nice job!

Prathamesh and Joy visit Tempe, AZ to participate in the Surface in Biomaterial Interface (SIFB) 35th Annual BioInterface Workshop & Symposium! Prathamesh presented a poster, illustrating his use of electrospun patches as hemostatic agents.

Congratulations to Prathamesh for presenting his research in the July Polymer Supergroup Meeting! He explained his work on hemorrhage control using electrospun patches to other polymer groups at Northeastern.

The Joy Lab is proud to be phasing out methylene chloride (known as dichloromethane (DCM)) in accordance with new EPA regulations. The Office of Academic and Research Safety (OARS) interviewed Justin and Prathamesh to learn more about the ways the Joy Lab is transitioning away from DCM. She also presented a poster on the same topic. Nice job, Zixi!

Joy, Justin, and Zixi attended the 7th Stevens Conference on Bacteria-Material Interactions! Here is Justin presenting a poster on the use of cationic peptidomimetic polyurethanes as an adjuvant with Gram-positive antibiotics for the treatment of Gram-negative infections.
