Vision

We create and translate innovative synthetic biomaterials to optimize host-material interactions for stabilizing cardiovascular homeostasis, eradicating bacterial and biofilm-related infection, and regenerating damaged tissue

Mission

1. We design biodegradable synthetic polymers to mimic the physical, mechanical, and biochemical properties of host tissue and sustain the delivery of therapeutics

2. We develop fast-acting real-world material solutions for civilian and military populations suffering from uncontrolled bleeding or infection

3. We direct biological systems to produce desirable conditions for tissue healing and regeneration
